About Moul Mouj Foundation

This foundation is built on 12 years of dedicated work and research into diseases and their patterns in the seniors of Jammu and Kashmir. Over this period, we have gained deep insights into the unique health challenges faced by seniors in the region. Our focus has been on understanding the specific needs of the elderly and devising ways to support them in aging gracefully and with dignity.

Throughout our journey, we have treated and studied over 30,000 seniors, addressing various physical and mental health issues, including chronic diseases, mental health disorders, and elder abuse. These patients have been treated at various government hospitals and private clinics, ensuring comprehensive and accessible healthcare services across the region.

This extensive experience has revealed critical areas where seniors require support, including access to quality healthcare, financial stability, emotional well-being, and social inclusion. By addressing these needs, we strive to create an environment where seniors can lead fulfilling lives.

We aim to provide comprehensive medical assistance, encompassing regular health check-ups, management of chronic conditions, and access to essential medications. Additionally, we work to offer emotional and psychological support, recognizing the importance of mental health in overall well-being.

Our foundation also emphasizes the importance of social connections and community engagement. We organize activities and programs that encourage intergenerational interactions, helping to combat loneliness and giving a sense of belonging. By doing so, we ensure that seniors are not only cared for but also cherished and respected as valuable members of society.

Understanding the prevalence of elder abuse, we have implemented specific interventions to protect our seniors from neglect and mistreatment. Our initiatives include legal support, counseling services, and awareness campaigns aimed at educating communities about the rights and needs of the elderly.
